Austin and I went to Breckenridge for our 2 year wedding anniversary back in May. It was “mud season” so it was the transition between ski season and summer. It snowed (in mid May!!) and was cloudy all weekend so I didn’t get that golden light, but I loved practicing shooting film with my lightmeter and walking around with Austin!! The town was also way less crowded since it was mud season, and a bunch of things were closed. I didn’t mind one bit.
Friends at Rocky Mountain National Park
I haven’t posted anything in a long while! I can’t believe it’s already the end of July—that means it has been 4 months since we moved from the Bay Area to Colorado. Transitioning to a new job, area, and home in general has been the best thing ever. I’m really content here and so happy we moved, even though it seemed so scary to me to leave so many friends in the Bay Area. The cool part about moving to Colorado is that everyone wants to visit though!! In a span of 5 months we will have had 11 different groups of friends/family visit us at separate times. This has been AMAZING because not only do I get to see my friends, I also get to explore Colorado with them!!
Friday Film Favorites
I finally sent in my film from Cassie and Kaeo’s, Holly and Alex’s, Aimee and Dean’s, and Naseem and Nima’s sessions!! I tend to leave my film sitting around before I send it, and especially now that I have a puppy, my personal life tasks happen slowly…
Salt and Straw Ice Cream Session
Over MLK Jr. weekend, Austin and I hung out with our best friends from college. We went to the beach and then went out for dinner (where the guys saw Oscar from The Office but didn’t say anything). At the end of the night, we went to Salt & Straw to get ice cream! Our friend Michael went 52 times in 2018, and everyone in the group loves ice cream. I had been telling Michelle that I wanted to take pictures of her and Connor on an ice cream date so I was excited to get the opportunity.
