Film photos from our Breckenridge Anniversary Trip

Film, Personal August 1, 2019

Austin and I went to Breckenridge for our 2 year wedding anniversary back in May. It was “mud season” so it was the transition between ski season and summer. It snowed (in mid May!!) and was cloudy all weekend so I didn’t get that golden light, but I loved practicing shooting film with my lightmeter and walking around with Austin!! The town was also way less crowded since it was mud season, and a bunch of things were closed. I didn’t mind one bit.

I worked with my film lab (The Find Lab) to get the look and tones I wanted and I’m really excited about how these pictures turned out, and how they will continue to get better as I practice more. You should see my pictures from 2017 when I didn’t use a lightmeter and underexposed everything horribly!

Scanned by The Find Lab and shot on Portra 400 on my 35mm film camera. Used with sekonic l-358 light meter.

Last year I got to photograph a wedding ceremony by some pretty redwood trees, and this year I traded those for aspens. Clear creek inn and the town of Georgetown are so cute!!

Also, a champagne toast at the end of the ceremony is a great idea 💯

Now I will delete this app again, go into my editing cave, and see this beautiful inside and out couple on my screen every night! You can see some more previews in my story highlights
