Daniel, Jordan, and I roamed around downtown Denver for their engagement photos!
We scheduled their session based on when there wouldn’t be baseball games or events downtown, and it worked out perfectly! First, we met up at Pon Pon, where the manager had given me permission to photograph Daniel and Jordan. The inside is so fun and unique. I have so many pictures of Daniel goofing off—I love how comfortable and silly they are together.
Then we roamed around RiNo, where it’s free to photograph fewer than 5 people without a permit! We looked around at some murals and art. I love that area—I used to work in RiNo and loved being close to such awesome things.
It was really hot and humid that day so we dropped by Matchbox to get drinks—Daniel and Jordan used to go to Matchbox often, so this was a special stop! We hung out there for a while to cool off and to take some fun shots of course 😉 (get it?)
They are MODELS!! Plus they have the most fun together—what could be better?
After Matchbox, we drove over to Union Station to take a few pictures! I was trying to go for that artsy busy Union Station vibe but it wasn’t very busy that day whoops hahah. Still SO fun!
Walking around downtown reminded me that there’s so much beyond my very surburban area—I’m excited to explore more this fall if it’s safe! I love local sessions like this and want to find more places to photograph (with permission).
We ended the day on a parking garage rooftop close to downtown. It really was the perfect day! Since it was cloudy, we weren’t waiting for the sun to set, and since it was earlier in the day, there weren’t tons of people around that I needed to photoshop out.
Then they got dressed up for champagne! Since we were driving from place to place, they had the opportunity to change clothes in their car really quickly. I LOVE what they chose for each place, like the black outfits for the bar, the more casual outfits for the rooftop, and ending dressy. I always send a style guide to couples and families before their session, but no one ever needs it.
I had the best time going from place to place with these two! One of the best parts of photoshoots is getting to hang out with the people you’re photographing—it’s just like walking around with friends.
Congratulations on your engagement, Daniel & Jordan!
