If you go back a few blogs, you’ll see that I did a Colorado newborn photography session for a family that was expecting! After the baby was born, they asked me to come back and photograph their new daughter.
I thought I leaned toward outdoor sessions but I have LOVED the indoor sessions that I’ve done thus far. Great natural light (or even not great—we were in the basement!) is so fun to work with, and I have been really liking how having a big window gives the unlit side of the photograph some depth.
This family session was SO fun and sweet. I wanted the older daughter to interact with her little sister, and sometimes she would, and then sometimes she would say “go away” to the baby or “no” when asked to smooch her baby sister. She also didn’t love her little sister’s crying, but I get that!! Haha! The baby didn’t even cry that much—we were able to get some adorable shots of her!
I don’t typically do super posed pictures so there aren’t any pictures of the baby wrapped up and in a tiny cute little basket (I love those—I just don’t do that!), but I hope you enjoy these sweet photos of this brand new little girl in her crib with her sister and her parents as they just go on about their day and live life (like the last one where I’m literally creeping on them and photographing them inside the house while I’m outside).
[…] little ones, I have been really loving taking pictures inside their house because they’re already comfortable […]
